Toronto Maple Leafs December Schedule: Part Two
The Leafs will begin the second half of December on the road with a game against the Dallas Stars on December 18th. It is always an exciting game for Nick Robertson's parents as Nick's brother Jason Robertson plays for the Stars. Hopefully, the Leafs will win the brother rivalry game.
Both Robertson's have struggled this year, but Nick scored a nice goal on Saturday night that can hopefully get him going, otherwise once the Leafs get healthy he may have trouble getting into the lineup.
On December 20th and 21st, the Leafs will play back-to-back games for the sixth time this season. They will be in Buffalo to play the Sabres on the 20th and at home to host the New York Islanders on the 21st.
For their last game before the NHL's Christmas break, the Leafs will host the Winnipeg Jets in a rare afternoon game on December 23rd. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm Eastern time. The Jets were the best team in the NHL heading into December. It won't be an easy win if goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is in the net for the Jets.
After the Christmas break, the Leafs will play in their seventh set of back-to-back games this season. On December 27th, the Leafs will be in Detroit to play the Red Wings, and on December 28th, the Leafs will host the Washington Capitals.
The Leafs end the month and the year 2024 with a game on New Year's Eve at home against the New York Islanders. The game will be an afternoon game with a 1:00 pm start time. Players will have enough time to get home to their families for New Year's celebrations.
