The Only Regret Is We Can't Boo More: Team Canada vs Team USA in 4 Nations Final

It's time for Team Canada to show what we're all about up here.

In Canada, we are proud of our tolerance for people who are different than us, we don't bully the weak, we don't knowingly support sex offenders or allow them into high positions within the government, and we sure don't betray our friends.

In Canada, you'd never see us showboating as fake-tough guys, staging fights on a group chat and then getting dummied by two smaller players *(we at least respect JT Miller for being willing to stand up to Colten Parayko, for 2 seconds, if, literally for no other earthly reason).

Team Canada has the moral and intellectual high-ground on this one. They've got the better players, they've got the better flag, the nicer uniform and an independent country that isn't interested in watching a Gritty look-a-like barf all over everything decent people hold dear.

I mean, do you even understand what it takes and how awful you have to be to piss off an entire nation known for it's politeness?

The Only Regret Is We Can't Boo More: Team Canada vs Team USA in 4 Nations Final

Team Canada got a bit unlucky in the first game - they were the better team overall, they had the puck more and got more scoring chances and won all three of the fights decisively. Oh that's another big difference: I saw so many American's claiming to have won those fights, but in Canada when we lose or are wrong, we actually admit it.

I just wish this game was in Montreal again so that we could enjoy the looks on the faces of the American players as they are reminded what the rest of the world thinks about them right now. It was glorious.

I know there are a lot of cool Americans disgusted with what's happening right now, and hopefully we'll see those guys cheer on the Canadian anthem tonight with respect - because we have done nothing wrong.

I will stop short of making predictions because, frankly, the American goalie is arguably the best player alive in the world today. However, if karma is real, I would expect Canada to win by several dozen goals.

As to the actual game, I think Jon Cooper was a genius to put Braydon Point with Connor McDavid, and I that Mitch Marner is, as usual, taking too much heat in the media. Yeah he hasn't taken over any games, but he's been decent, he scored a game-winner and the Cirelli/Hagel/Marner line was great against Finland. Personally, I think Marner should get some praise for checking his ego and taking on a checking/defensive role.

In closing, I would just like to remind everyone that in Canada even our weakest nerds could beat up a Tkachuk brother.
