Timofei Obvintsev
Timofei Obvintsev is a 20-year-old goaltender from Yekaterinburg, Russia. He is 6'3, 179 pounds, and is currently playing for Krasnaya Armiya Moskva in the MHL. The Leafs drafted Obvintsev after he posted a 7-7-0 record in 16 appearances last season, with a 2.96 GAA and a .921 SV%.
This season, Obvintsev has made 11 appearances for Krasnaya Armiya Moskva and has a 6-4 record with a 2.78 GAA and a .908 SV%. He is unsigned by the Leafs and might stay that way, as the Leafs are unlikely to sign him unless they see him progress and play well in Russia's top league, the KHL. The Leafs are also not in a hurry to have another goaltender join their organization in North America, as their goaltending depth is strong.
