1st Star of the Month

GM Brad Treliving made a lot of mistakes this off-season, handing David Kampf a three-year deal at $2.4 Million per season or Ryan Reaves the same term at $1.3 Million, while failing to come to an eight year extension with William Nylander over what appears to be a half a million dollars.

Nylander is making Treliving regret not signing that extension as he has jumped out to the hottest start of his career and that is after scoring 40-goals in 2022-23.

There is no chance that Nylander would sign right now for what he would likely  have gladly accepted in the summer.

Tuesday night, Nylander received an assist on the lone Toronto Maple Leafs goal in a 4-1 loss which extended his point streak to nine games and set a franchise record for longest point streak to start the season.

His value is at an all-time high.

Nylander sits top ten in both goals and points to start the season and often looks like he is playing a league higher than his competition.

Nylander has been incredibly patient and skilled with the puck, as he has look dangerous almost every shift.
