Status: Replacement Player

Expectations:  Likely to be swapped out for someone who makes the league minimum.

Notes:  Lafferty is fast but he is not effective.  He and Reaves are going to get destroyed on the fourth line and I doubt he is on the team for long.  At no point in his NHL career has Lafferty demonstrated an ability to help his team 5v5.  There are cheaper and better prospect options on the roster.

Update: Sam Lafferty has since been traded to the Vancouver Canucks.
