Already the club has revealed that William Nylander will be given a chance at playing centre during the preseason, along with the newly formed top line of Tyler Bertuzzi, Auston Matthews, and Mitch Marner.
It will be interesting to see the development of storylines surrounding camp battles and player usage as training camp opens with preseason games set to start for the Leafs this upcoming Sunday on the 24th against the Ottawa Senators.
Will surprising prospects have a stellar camp and potentially steal a spot or two on the Leafs final roster? Will the Leafs discover new line combinations that will turn them into an offensive juggernaut? Or will certain new faces struggle, putting their expected inclusion on the opening night roster in jeopardy?
No matter how things end up turning out, Toronto Maple Leafs fans everywhere are definitely all set for another big season ahead in 2023-24, with high hopes of advancing past the second round this time around, and perhaps even all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals for once.
