The Toronto Maple Leafs AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, finished first in the AHL’s North Division last season but failed to beat the Rochester Americans in the third round of the Calder Cup playoffs. They will be looking to improve upon last season and hopefully win the Calder Cup this season.

Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Ryan Hardy who is the general manager of the Marlies fired his coaching staff.

John Gruden is the AHL team’s new head coach. Michael Dyck and Eric Wellwood are the new assistant coaches. We’ll see if they can help guide this team to a championship.

The Toronto Marlies have a pretty talented group of players. I’m sure they want to repeat as the best in the AHL’s north division, but they’ll be hungry for more.

Team captain Logan Shaw led the way with 69 points last season. A similar season from him will be great, but he wants to lead the team to greatness.

Logan Shaw is just one of the talented players to keep your eyes on this season. There are many Marlies’ players looking to build upon their 2022-23 season.
