Beating the Toronto Maple Leafs In the Playoffs Is Bad Luck

The Toronto Maple Leafs did manage to make it to the second round this year, but they still failed in their ultimate goal of winning the Stanley Cup.

The Toronto Maple Leafs added a ton of grit and talent to their roster at the trade deadline to supplement an already incredible team, but they still couldn’t get it done.

This year, the Leafs bowed out to Florida, another team whose goalie became incredible when having to face the Leafs.

Another season has come and gone in the NHL, and it is another season where the Toronto Maple Leafs did not raise the Stanley Cup.

However, thats not the main story.

When the Florida Panthers went on to beat the Leafs in the second round, as well as the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final, it marked the fourth season in a row where a team that beat the Maple Leafs in the playoffs advanced to the Stanley Cup Final.

That’s incredible.

Florida would go on to lose to the Vegas Golden Knights in five games which also meant that it is the fourth season in a row where the team that beat Toronto in the postseason lost in the Cup Finals.

So let’s take a look at the misfortune that is beating the Toronto Maple Leafs in the playoffs.
