No. 2: Carson Soucy

If the Toronto Maple Leafs want to find the closest thing to Jake Muzzin, then Carson Soucy could be that player.

Currently playing for the Seattle Kraken, Soucy has two years left on a contract worth $2.75M and could make an impact immediately on the Leafs blue-line.

At 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, the left-handed defenseman plays a physical game and defensively sound. Not only that, but he scored 10 goals last year, showing he has a little offensive flare to his game.

As a new franchise, the Kraken are still in a rebuild, which means they may be inclined to trade the 28-year-old, if the price is right. With Muzzin out, the team doesn’t have too many physical defensemen, so trading for Soucy could be a perfect fit.

He may be unknown but if acquired, I promise every Leafs fan would love him, especially if he caught an opponent with their head down.
