Toronto Maple Leafs Have Become Part Of An Entourage

For the second time this summer, members of the Toronto Maple Leafs were spotted in an entourage role for Canada’s biggest pop star.

It’s not uncommon to see celebrities surround themselves with an entourage. From Elvis to the Queen of England, celebrities often travel with a crew of their own. That group may include family, friends, and/or associates. Sometimes the role that entourage members play can be amusing such The rapper Ludacris, having someone in his circle around just to change his Game Boy batteries, or Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs have a personal valet and assistant. What’s not often seen in someone’s entourage are Toronto Maple Leafs players.

That may no longer be true. It now appears that Justin Bieber travels with members of his favourite team. He was seen accompanied to UFC 264 by a pair of Leafs.

This wasn’t the first time that Bieber included Leafs in his entourage. At the MMA promotion’s previous event, UFC 263, the pop star arrived with forward Auston Matthews and goaltender Freddie Andersen.

Toronto Maple Leafs and Justin Bieber

On Saturday, Bieber was at the T-Mobile Arena In Las Vegas to watch Conor McGregor break his leg. Bieber was seen in the building with what now appears to be permanent fixtures of his entourage, Matthews and Andersen. He seems to have now added a new member to his crew, Jumbo Joe Thornton.

Bieber is actually known for travelling with an entourage. When he was filming his appearance on Saturday Night Live, he appointed one member of his entourage the task of holding his coke and pizza while he was on stage. The good news is that none of the Leafs were spotted holding the musician’s meal for him.

Bieber, with his Maple Leafs entourage in tow, left the fights that night and boarded Kendall Jenner’s bus where the fun continued. They spent time with The Kid LAROI., the Australian singer who performs with Bieber on the single “Stay”, which was released on Friday.

Some may try and argue that Bieber isn’t collecting Maple Leafs members to join his growing entourage, but instead it was the pop star who was a part of the hockey players’ following. That idea can easily be debunked thanks to the presence of Bieber’s father.

An alternative theory that may work is that Bieber’s entourage of Matthews and Andersen remained unchanged from UFC 263 to 264. What did change was that each party brought along a chaperone. Bieber brought his father and the Leafs brought Thornton.

It’s always fun to see Toronto Maple Leafs having fun outside of a hockey setting and doing something they like. Though we miss watching them on the ice, it’s good to know that at least some of the team is getting to enjoy their offseason.
