The Toronto Maple Leafs have a long wish-list this holiday season.

Although we won’t be able to watch any Toronto Maple Leafs games or celebrate with as many people as we typically would this holiday season, it’s an exciting time because the Leafs season is right around the corner. With a start date scheduled for mid-to-late January, let’s hope we’re watching games sooner than later.

Many fans have a Christmas wish-list that is filled with tickets, jerseys or merchandise and if they’re lucky, they usually get something. However, for the entire Toronto Maple Leafs organization it’s a little different.

For the first time since the NHL Lockout, teams won’t have to worry about traveling around the holiday season, but instead will be at home with their family. It may not be a huge celebration but the fact that they’ll get to spend that time with their loved ones, instead of flying to Columbus shortly after Christmas for a road-trip is probably a delightful moment for them.

So although the kids of these players will be asking for toys, what would the team be asking for?

Let’s look at every player’s wish list:

Next. Every Maple Leafs Fan Should be Thankful. dark

Since 1967, every Toronto Maple Leafs fan has been asking Santa for the same thing: A Stanley Cup championship. Unfortunately the big man has yet to deliver.

Maybe this year it’ll come true, but I think a lump of coal is more likely.
