Two games each season, the Toronto Maple Leafs meet with the Vegas Golden Knights.

This will be the third time that the Toronto Maple Leafs play host to the Vegas Golden Knights, ever.

Toronto is looking to secure their first three game winning streak, while Vegas is trying to get their second win in a row, and their first ever at Scotiabank Arena.

Starting goaltenders will be Frederik Andersen for the Maple Leafs and Malcom Subban for the Golden Knights.

Andersen is looking for his 9th win and also to bump up his save percentage, which took a hit in October and is now at .908.

Subban is entering his 3rd game of the season without a win thus far. He’s posted an .887 save percentage and a 4.32 goals against average. Look for tonights game to be a high scoring one for possibly both teams.

Lineup changes for Toronto Maple Leafs

There will be no more of Martin Marincin or Nic Petan, who were placed on waivers earlier today as part of the clearance of cap space for Zach Hyman, once he returns.

Coming in for Petan will be Dmytro Timashov, who will be playing in his lucky number 13th game of the season. In 12 games, Timashov has four points playing on the 4th line.

Jason Spezza looks to be sitting once again. The 36-year-old hasn’t played since Saturday night’s shootout win vs. the Philadelphia Flyers, where he scored and assisted on a goal as well as scoring in the shootout.

The Maple Leafs are looking to score a power play goal tonight for the first time since Auston Matthews scored one in a 4-3 loss to the Washington Capitals last week (3 games ago).

Toronto’s power play has been questionable as of late, scoring two goals on their last 26 chances (since vs. Bruins on October 22nd).

This morning, William Nylander discussed his theory on how to get the power play back on track, “I think we just gotta get a little simple and get pucks to the net, and then win the retrieval back and then, I think stuff will open up for us.”

Whether that be with an easy tap in, or a shot from the point — look for the Toronto Maple Leafs to try their best to finally put another power play goal into the back of the net.

It will be difficult as Vegas has the 2nd best penalty kill in the league. They’re sitting at 89.8% penalties killed so far this season.

Look for this game to be a step in the right direction. After having two tough games, this might be the one where the Toronto Maple Leafs put a lot of pucks into the net.
