In my opinion, Chicago had four major standout players this game.

Kirby Dach:

Dach, the third overall pick in 2019, was excellent. He applied fantastic pressure, physically tormenting and frustrating  the Leafs, which allowed him to show off his solid passing skills and offensive instincts. Although I don’t think that Dach was the right pick at number three, he’s a very impressive player.

Philipp Kurashev:

Kurashev was spectacular all game. The Swiss forward displayed fantastic offensive instincts and playmaking skills throughout the game, sneaking in and weaving through the Leafs like it was nothing, just a phenomenal player. A player that isn’t afraid to take control of play, Kurashev should have Hawks fans everywhere excited.

Mackenzie Entwistle:

Entwistle was able to consistently put himself in ideal offensive position, primed for scoring chances, is a sneaky good player in the Hawks system.

Adam Boqvist:

Boqvist was quite good all game, and drove play from the backend. Boqvist likes to take control of the game, but rarely hangs on to it, which is concerning but not a huge deal considering that he is really blossoming into a top-end defensive prospect.
