The Toronto Maple Leafs are in line for an amazing season.

As we all inch our way to the 2019-20 Toronto Maple Leafs season, we take a look at the new-look Leafs, hoping that some things change for the better.

Every year, there’s always a player, or two, or even three, who exceed their expectations based on previous years.

Last season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, players like Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly elevated their game to new career heights. Before that, Nazem Kadri reached the 30 goal plateau for the first time in his career.

This season brings new and old faces to the Leafs lineup – they literally changed a third of their team.

Although everyone’s hoping every single Leaf can breakout in one form or another, only a few may truly step their game up in that way. Here are predictions of three players who may be likely to have a breakout season.
