It’s been quite the year for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
And 2018 has been a phenomenal year for Editor in Leaf as well.
From setting our site record for most traffic in a month (thank you, Tavares) to expanding the scope of our writing staff, the past 12 months have been filled with nothing but growth for little old us.
Needless to say, that growth would simply not be possible without all of you.
You are the ones who continue to read the stories and interact with our opinions regardless of whether or not you happen to agree with them. Some are positive. Some…not so much. But above all else, though, it’s all of you who generally make writing for EIL an enriching experience. You keep us running, keep us focused and give us a sense of purpose regarding all the hard work we pour into covering this team.
For that and much, much more, I want to extend to you a message of gratitude.
Editor in Leaf is lucky to have one of the most engaging and passionate reader bases in the so-called “blogosphere”. We know that you all will be there, rain or shine, making your voices heard on every minute detail of a piece, and it’s that attention to detail shown by you that makes writing about the Toronto Maple Leafs so interesting.
Think about it, we’ve been through a lot together this year. The John Tavares Sweepstakes. The William Nylander Saga. Yet another first-round loss to the Boston Bruins. It’s been a taxing few months filled with highs and lows. Riding this rollercoaster with all of you has been a true pleasure.
So, as we enter into 2019, I want to hear from you.
What do you like about Editor in Leaf? What do you think we can do better? What would you like to see from the site once the calendar flips at midnight? The day we ignore our readers is the day our doors close for good. So, I want to know how we can fill your needs as we move ahead into a new and exciting phase of content.
Maybe it’s more slideshows? Maybe it’s fewer slideshows? The possibilities are endless and you have free reign to make it loud and clear what floats your boat.
Before I let you all resume your wild night of New Year’s celebrating, I just want to say thanks one more time. It truly is a pleasure to interact with our loyal readers. Thank you for making 2018 so phenomenal for us.
We simply could not ask for more.
Happy New Year!
Thanks for reading!
