From the Netherlands to Toronto to Watch the Maple Leafs #2
The Toronto Maple Leafs are the passion that unites us all, truly.
Yesterday the city of Toronto was hit in its heart by a cowardly attack that claimed the life of many innocent people. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families of those hurt and affected by this tragedy. I was fortunate to be further down Yonge street when it happened, even though I am not Toronto nor Canadian born, I feel one with the city during this.

Catching up
I would have written a new article sooner, but the power-socket converter I brought with me didn’t fit with my laptop charger. Thankfully, after some tips by Mike and Lauren, I found one that could work with my charger at the Canadian Tire. A store that I absolutely love by now.

So far, the series has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. My nails are fairly embedded in the wooden bar of Mick E’s by now. Game 5 was nerve-wracking, but in no way, that game 6 has been for me. I was a bit late at the bar for the game, so my buddy called me up and told me to hurry up because the Leafs were supposedly down by two already. I ran so fast towards to the bar that my heart rate was skyrocketing, which it kept doing till the empty netter went in.
We’ve got them running
Remember when the Toronto Maple Leafs were down 3 – 1 in the series? Bandwagon fans started falling off the wagon, every overpaid TV-analyst wrote off the Leafs and Boston thought the remainder of the series was just a formality. Boy, must they feel stupid by now. The Toronto Maple Leafs fought themselves back in the series and forced a game 7, in Boston.
Even though Boston holds home-ice advantage in this game, the Toronto Maple Leafs have the momentum on their side. They have found a way to win in Boston in the series. Freddie has found his grove and looks unbeatable. Heck, even defensively the Toronto Maple Leafs looked way better.

The Boston Bruins can’t find an answer to the line changes Babcock used per game 5 and I feel that they can’t in game 7 either. It’s going to be a nail-biter in Boston, that’s for sure, but I believe the Toronto Maple Leafs can defeat the Boston Bruins for the third time in a row and win the series, Go Leafs Go!
