Toronto Maple Leafs: Scotiabank Arena Coming Soon
The home of the Toronto Maple Leafs will change its name.
Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment announced today that the Toronto Maple Leafs will play in the Scotiabank Arena when the Air Canada Centre changes its name.
This is kind of sad for me.
I grew up calling it the ACC (as did many others), but now what are we supposed to abbreviate it to?
How about the Bank?
Ya, I know it doesn’t have a nice ring to it, that’s exactly my point.
Nonetheless, the ACC will be no more as of July 1, 2018, and henceforth known as the Scotiabank Arena.
A little side note, I’m back from vacation, moved back to Canada for good and am ready for October.
Anyone else?

Goodbye, Hello
There’s not much changing here other than the name of where our beloved Leafs play.
We’ll still have our big three with the team, so no worries there.
Yes, it’s a little upsetting that the name is changing, but it’s a business and this partnership could be important moving forward.
Let’s enjoy this last season calling it the ACC and develop a cool alternative/abbreviation for what we know to be the new name.
We do have until July to get going on that.
