The Toronto Maple Leafs are just days away from learning who they lose in the Expansion Draft and who they get in the Entry Draft.

What better way to countdown the hours than to view the Tweets of the Week? We’ve curated the best ones so you don’t have to waste too much time finding them yourself.

First, a quick recap on who is protected and who is available.

Some will laugh at this, but I think Martin Marincin is one of the most underrated players in the NHL.  Remember, when he’s on the ice, his team always allows less shot-attempts, shots, scoring chances and goals than they get.  Not sure anything anyone can not like about his game can counteract that fact. Low event players are just never properly regarded by fans.  Nikita Zaitsev and Marincin were a 56% CF pair when on the ice together and would make one hell of a bottom-pairing.

Father’s day posts are always topical and heartwarming!!

This guy is tweeting the Knights with some very valuable advice:

Nashville was a great crowd, but look at these two people in the front row on their phones! Every time I see a shot of a crowd, I always see some dud on their phone – you’re out living real life, you’re doing something really fun and you could have stayed home if all you wanted to do was look at a screen.   Don’t get caught on your phone in public – it’s embarrassing.

This is why NBC and NHL are not words you easily associate…..just kidding, I know it’s from a fake account, but man, some people are insane!!

To be clear: this is the single dumbest thing I have ever heard.  Even if the LA Kings paid all of his salary and even if they also sent five first round picks, I am not OK with trading, or even discussing, the trading of Mitch Marner.

How often in your time as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan do you remember a home-town kid actually playing for the Leafs and being one of the best players in the world?  Never? Me neither.

Mitch Marner is untouchable, I wouldn’t trade him for anyone and Drew Doughty is MASSIVELY overrated.  LIke, he’s OK, but he ain’t worth no Marner.

This is an awesome birthday cake!

Alright, so when that’s  a nice cake and all, but when you’re highlighting cakes, maybe it’s a sign you really, really need some actual hockey news!  Only a couple days to go before that happens.

One more:

Well that’s it. Your Tweets of the Week, as relating to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Hope that was enjoyable.
