NHL Mock Draft Round Two 31-35

Here are the selections at 31-35 for the NHL Mock Draft.

Samuel Girard. 32. player. 148. The Oilers need a true puck moving defender. Girard jumps to the top of the depth chart when organizing by offensive talent. Could make a great partner for Darnell Nurse down the road.. Defence. Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL)

Farjestad BK (SHL). Rasmus Asplund. 33. player. 87. After taking a defender in the first round, Florida gets to use Vancouver’s second round pick on a highly talented forward in Asplund to add to a solid group of youth up front.. Center/Wing

player. 112. Calgary needs a goaltender, so with their own second round pick they take the top ranked tender in the 2016 NHL Draft.. Goalie. Sherbrooke Phoenix (QMJHL). Evan Fitzpatrick. 35

NHL Mock Draft Round Two 36-40

Here are the selections at 36-40 for the NHL Mock Draft.

36. player. 30. Winnipeg goes best player available for their third first round talent forward of the draft, stocking up for the future.. Left Wing. Saut Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL). Boris Katchouk

121. Arizona goes back to the defensive pool and fishes out Allard, a two-way defender with good puck moving and offensive abilities.. Defence. Chicoutimi Sagueneenes (QMJHL). Frederic Allard. 37. player

player. 12. Buffalo picks up a strong winger with good hands after drafting Juolevi in the first round. Raddysh will be a great fit in Buffalo with a good core of young players.. Right Wing. Erie Otters (OHL). Taylor Raddysh. 38

MoDo (SHL). Carl Grundstrom. 39. player. 152. Montreal sticks with a forward again, this time a talented winger from Sweden, to help a barely afloat offence.. Left Wing

103. Colorado picks up a potential Ryan O’Rielly replacement and maybe right’s a few wrongs – especially if the rumors about Matt Duchene’s availability are true. If the Avalanche come through on the Barrie/Duchene rumors, they will need to fix themselves in the draft.. C/RW. Sarnia Sting (OHL). Jordan Kyrou. 40. player

NHL Mock Draft Round Two 41-45

Here are the selections at 41-45 for the NHL Mock Draft.

North Bay Battalion (OHL). Cam Dineen. 41. player. 85. The Devils get one of biggest movers of the draft rankings by Central Scouting in Dineen. He’s a slick puck moving offensive defender that can help New Jersey stop playing boring hockey.. Defence

Center/Wing. Timra IK (Allsvenskan). Jonathan Dahlen. 42. player. 91. Ottawa adds another forward with offensive skill. It’s no good if Karlsson and Ceci have nobody to move the puck to. The Senators need more offensive ability and Dahlen brings it.

43. player. 109. Carolina, like Calgary, is also in need of a goaltender. They go out and grab the second ranked tender of the NHL Draft, and one who some argue could be the top goaltender of the 2016 class.. Goalie. Everett Silvertips (WHL). Carter Hart

Defence. Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL). Luke Green. 44. player. 23. Tampa comes back after drafting a forward and grabs a tremendous puck handler in Green. The Sea Dogs defender moves the puck well and has great offensive upside.

Max Lajoie. 45. player. 152. As bad as the Habs offensive future was, they can’t take all forwards. Montreal grabs Lajoie, an excellent skating two-way defender.. Defence. Swift Current Broncos (WHL)

NHL Mock Draft Round Two 46-50

Here are the selections at 46-50 for the NHL Mock Draft.

Jack Kopacka. 47. player. 151. The Predators get a big winger with a good mind for two-way hockey. Kopacka is still developing and wasn’t in the spotlight in Sault Ste. Marie this year, he’ll have a bigger role next year and is in line for a big season.. Left Wing. Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL)

player. 68. Philadelphia takes the hometown kid with their second round draft pick, adding to a defensive prospect pool that already features Ivan Provorov and Travis Sanheim, two of the highest scoring defenders in the WHL.. Defence. NTDP USA Under-18. Chad Krys. 48

70. Boston takes the 6’3″, 207lb, Bastian to add to a decent sized prospect pool of forwards.. Center/Wing. Mississauga Steelheads (OHL). Nathan Bastian. 49. player

Defence. HC Hradek Kralove (Czech). Filip Hronek. 50. player. 109. Carolina continues to have a good draft, picking up Filip Hronek at #50 to add to a prospect pool that’s getting deeper by the round.

Here are the selections at 51-55 for the NHL Mock Draft.

51. player. 67. The Vancouver Giants captain didn’t get to play much this year (30 games), but when he did he played very well. Highly gifted player that the Kings should love to have at #51.. Left Wing. Vancouver Giants (WHL). Tyler Benson

Center. Flint Firebirds (OHL). William Bitten. 52. player. 68. The Flyers add another forward in Bitten who could look good playing with Brayden Schenn. Bitten has good offensive tools and played well on a Flint team that was a sideshow for much of the season in the OHL.

player. 121. Arizona adds a big winger for even more offensive depth moving forward as they build a team for the future. Gettinger should be a solid middle six player in the future for Arizona.. Left Wing. Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL). Tim Gettinger. 53

Calgary picks up a big winger from the KHL with offensive upside. Korshkov might not be the prototypical Brian Burke player, but he should be on Treliving’s radar.. Right Wing. Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (KHL). Yegor Korshkov. 54. player. 112

Pittsburgh adds a fast, skilled offensive player to keep up with their theme that won them the Stanley Cup. Borgstrom is debuting in North America next season with the University of Denver.. Center. HIFK U20 (Jr-Liiga). Henrik Borgtrom. 55. player. 92

NHL Mock Draft Round Two 56-61

Here are the selections at 56-61 for the NHL Mock Draft.

112. Calgary adds a good defender who should be playing in the Swedish Elite League next year. Moverare is a two-way player who could develop into a good second pairing guy for the Flames when they’re ready to transition from the current group.. Defence. HV71 J20 (SuperElit). Jacob Moverare. 56. player

23. Mascherin is a really good offensive talent. He might be small, but scouts rave on his ability to play bigger than his size. The Lightning get a beauty at #58.. Center/Wing. Kitchener Rangers (OHL). Adam Mascherin. 58. player

USNDTP Under-18. Adam Fox. 59. player. 99. The Blues grab a highly skilled offensive defender at #59 as they continue to get younger on the blueline and get ready for the Mike Yeo era.. Defence

player. 120. The Sharks pick up a very good two-way defender that plays a similar style to Vlasic. Lindgren joins a weak prospect pool in San Jose but could be a great defender down the road for the Cup runner-ups.. Defence. USNDTP Under-18. Ryan Lindgren. 60

92. Pittsburgh grabs another highly talented forward with their second pick of the second round. Gregor is a riser in the draft and will keep the Penguins talented and under the cap for the final 4-6 years of the Sidney Crosby era as they shoot for more Stanley Cups.. Center. Moose Jaw Warriors (WHL). Noah Gregor. 61. player
