Ottawa Senators – 7th Atlantic
The Senators have come back down to earth and sit 7th in the Atlantic Division.
They went 1-2-1 during a tough stretch of games that saw them play the Islanders twice, Penguins once and Canucks once. Not a great week for improving in the standings.
There are questions of whether or not Paul MacLean makes it out of this year with a job so the Sens are being put under the microscope. I don’t think it’s MacLeans’ fault. You can only do so much with what your given and the Sens don’t have a playoff capable roster.
I like Erik Karlsson but when a defender is leading your team in scoring you are in rough shape offensively and shouldn’t have high expectations for your position in the standings.
