Boston Bruins

It was another interesting week for the Black and Gold. They put in a 3-1 performance with solid wins against the Vancouver Canucks (their first win over them since a certain Game 7 back in 2011), the Edmonton Oilers (sorry Ference), and the Florida Panthers (tough break Timmy). A damaged Montreal Canadiens squad smoked them 4-1 though. The Bruins played their brand of hockey in each of their wins, and got rid of a monkey off their back by handing a regulation loss to Vancouver.

The Bruins are still comfortably in first in the Atlantic Division and second in the East behind the Pittsburgh Penguins. They are finally over that long list of injuries that plagued them in December and have begun to pull away from other teams in their division. Going into the Olympic break, they’ll finally have a few days to decompress before getting into a rough grind to end the season.
