Tampa Bay Lightning

By Tasha Meares, Editor of Bolts By The Bay

This has been quite the week for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The team headed out on the road last week for a four-game road trip through Canada. With a 4-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets last night, the Lightning have claimed three of those four games earning themselves six points.

We had a total of seven players named to their respective country’s Olympic rosters. Valtteri Filppula and Sami Salo will be joining Finland, Radko Gudas and Ondrej Palat will be representing the Czech Republic, Richard Panik will be playing for Slovakia, our prospect Kristers Gudlevskis will be representing Latvia, and last, but most certainly not least, Steven Stamkos will be playing for Team Canada.

On Thursday, the team will head home to the Tampa Bay Times Forum for one quick game against Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals, and then it is back out on the road for another three games. Certainly, the Lightning will look to keep their momentum rolling as they head home.
