Toronto Maple Leafs Mid-Season Awards
The Johnny Bower Award
John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports
To be given to the Maple Leafs’ best goaltender.
Winner: Jonathan Bernier
Runner-up: James Reimer… Who Else?
In Toronto’s two goaltender system, neither goalie has really been given the chance to have the ball and run with it. That being said, the goalie who has done the most with the time that he has been given is Jonathan Bernier.
Bernier has played in eight more games than Reimer and has amassed 10 wins with a 2.42 GAA and save percentage of .929. In my opinion, Bernier should be in the net more often than not in the second half of the season.
