2014 NHL Draft Profile: Josh Ho-Sang

Name: Josh H0-Sang

Position: Right Wing

Height: 5′ 11″

Weight: 160

Team: Windsor Spitfires (OHL)

From the talent pool of the Windsor OHL organization Josh Ho-Sang is no different than the amount of talent that has gone on from that team and have had a great rookie campaign. His supreme offensive talent should make him a high end pick at this years draft .  Josh tallied an incredilbe 85 points in 67 GP last year putting up 32 goals and 53 assists. For a player that was told he was “too selfish” he has shown that his passing skills are about, if not better, than his pure and natural goal scoring ability.  He is an all around elite talent that could definitely be a guy who a team can build around.

“He handles the puck very well at top speed and sees the ice well. His skating is excellent and his first step is explosive. He cuts to the middle often and can split the defence with surprising speed.”

-NHL Central Scout Chris Edwards

NHL.com’s Adam Kimelman had Josh going 22nd overall to the Pittsburgh Penguins in NHL.com’s annual Draft Mock. With a team that has offensive skill players in Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby and James Neal, they seem to lack second support, especially with the departure of Jordan Staal to Carolina. So, adding an offensive pure talent player like Josh Ho-Sang gives them an opportunity to finally have some depth while also giving him the opportunity to learn with the best player in the world.
