The Toronto Maple Leafs continue their trek along the Pacific coast as they travel north to play the San Jose Sharks tonight. The Leafs are coming off an impressive 3-1 win over the second-placed team in the NHL, the Anaheim Ducks, in the Los Angeles suburb last night.
Things likely won’t get any easier for the Leafs as they take on one of the hottest teams in the league in the Sharks. They’re the third-best possession team in the league and have won seven of their last 10 games.
Last time these teams played, the Sharks threw 40 shots at James Reimer and ended up taking the 4-2 victory. With Jonathan Bernier facing 43 shots in Anaheim last night, Reimer is expected to make the start again.
