Tyler Bozak is playing like a man on a mission these days. A mission to silence everyone that does not like the fact that he is the Toronto Maple Leafs No. 1 center.
Almost everyone I talk to doesn’t like it and I know that the majority of Leafs Nation feels the same way. They feel that Bozak is not good enough to be in that position. It looks like he wants to change that.
Even through his injury troubles this year, Bozak has playing like a man possessed. Ever since he returned from his most recent injury he has five goals and six assists for 11 points in only eight games.
Another factor that he brings is that Phil Kessel and James van Riemsdyk just seem to play better when Bozak is their center. I don’t know why they can’t produce as much without Bozak, but as long as they keep doing it with him, I’m all for it and don’t want to change it.
If the Leafs want to make the playoffs this season, that first line is going to be a big factor in it. Like it or not, Tyler Bozak is going to be a big part factor in making that first line successful.
That being said, the fans still don’t have to like it. But let’s see if times are changing.
