Florida Panthers

By Rogerio Istiraneopulos, Staff Writer at The Rat Trick

After putting together a very nice streak of five straight wins in December and posting a record of 8-5-1 for that month, the Florida Panthers now find themselves with a weak record of 2-4-1 ever since that streak ended on December 20th. The team still can’t seem to find a way to capitalize on their man-advantage situations, as they are dead last in the league with a 10.6 per cent conversion rate on the power play.

The bright spot of the team certainly is its line of Brad Boyes, Aleksander Barkov and Sean Bergenheim as the majority of the production has come from them. Boyes and Bergenheim lead the team in goals with 11 and 10 respectfully and Barkov leads the team in points with 22. The 18-year-old has 12 points in as many games and has just been selected to represent his native country of Finland in Sochi for the Olympics. With the production they have put out that line has now gained the title of “The Killer B’s”.
