To be given to the Maple Leafs’ best forward.

Winner: Phil Kessel

Runner-up: James van Riemsdyk

This was really only a two-horse race between Kessel and JVR. Though both have had stretches where they went through dry spells, both have had put more than respectable point totals.

Kessel gets the edge because he has shown that the new contract he signed prior to his season hasn’t impacted his play negatively. He currently stands 11th in the NHL in goals scored.
