  • In a long-awaited move, Paul Ranger and Mark Fraser are both expected to sit. Rielly and Liles would both be in if that’s the case, and the pairings are expected to see a shakeup. Phaneuf will make his return after serving his two-game suspension.
  • Carter Ashton was sent down to the Marlies today and Bodie was called up. David Clarkson was also handed a two-game suspension for his hit on St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka, and will serve his first game tonight. Holland lined up between Lupul and Raymond in practice, but that may only be for the power play.
  • Any predictions for the game tonight? I would offer mine, but there’s only so many ways I can say “Leafs loss”. Share your thoughts below during the game, and follow along with the Tweeps right here:

  5. Jeffrey Mullen says:

10 O’ Clock east in the US, from what I hear it may not air until tomorrow night in Canada

There’s the cross crease pass we all know and love

  7. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Having trouble logging into the site, any ideas?

  8. Tim Bayer says:

I love the look of the Leafs D tonight. Much more…mobile. Lol

  9. Jeffrey Mullen says:

The overall game looks better, more o zone time

  10. Tim Bayer says:

Kinda soft by Gardiner. Gotta put Shaw on his butt there

  11. Tim Bayer says:

dumb place and situation to take a penalty

  12. Tim Bayer says:

    ah darnit

  13. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Well, we have been complaining the Leafs D has not scored enough

  14. Tim Bayer says:

    WAY TO GO PHANEUF (kidding)

  15. Tim Bayer says:

    oh hi Kane

  16. Tim Bayer says:

wow how did JvR miss that?

  17. Tim Bayer says:

oh Hjalmarsson got a stick on it

  18. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Well, apparently a clean hit justifies a fight. Orpik deserved it. it’s like a DeLorean lands in Toronto every Saturday night from 1977, and helps keeps the NHL locked into irrelevance in most of the world

  19. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Jerry D for the lead, loved watching this guy at RPI

  20. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Phaneuf with 2 goals tonight maybe

  21. Tim Bayer says:

Here’s the rule (67.6) pertaining to the disallowed goal off Phaneuf, as tweeted out by Mirtle:

  22. Tim Bayer says:

    Jerry is buzzing

  23. Jeffrey Mullen says:

    The Holland Express

  24. Tim Bayer says:

    Beautiful. Tic-tac-toe.

  25. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Where has this team been, outshooting, outscoring, outplaying

    • Tim Bayer says:

Leafs looked a little squirelly for a bit there earlier in the 2nd but seemed to have settled down. I definitely didn’t see this coming.

  26. Tim Bayer says:

  27. Jeffrey Mullen says:

And just when you think they might be ok, they return. Corsi with a lead has been a problem all year, why change tonight

  28. Jeffrey Mullen says:

I guess the hawks took the pregame notes about this line not scoring too literally. 1 goal all year, three tonight

  29. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Having watched all but 3 games this year, I can’t recall this much sustained offensive zone pressure in a week worth, let alone a single game

  30. Jeffrey Mullen says:

they shouldn’t let up at all, they are just as likely to give up seven goals

  31. Tim Bayer says:

OK put the other guy back in

  32. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Hawks look drunk, not like champions

  33. Jeffrey Mullen says:

getting excited for HBO, if for no other reason than to see what exactly got said after Thursday night

  34. Tim Bayer says:

    The 2nd line is killing it tonight. Lupul – 2G 2A, Raymond – 4A, Holland – 2G, 1A.

  35. Tim Bayer says:

Who gets the hatty first? Holland, Lupul or Kane?

  36. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Winning in spite of a goaltender tonight, I like it

  37. Jeffrey Mullen says:

7 goals and only 1 by the first line, nice work

  38. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Shouldn’t Bronx cheer the other teams goalie. They are AHL level players at best, take the win and enjoy the night.

  39. Tim Bayer says:

I honestly never noticed Holland being this fast. He’s giving the ‘Hawks’ D fits.

  40. Jeffrey Mullen says:

Wow, Don Cherry MD with sound medical advice

  41. Jeffrey Mullen says:

    On to HBO
