Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Pittsburgh Penguins Game 25: Live Game Thread

Well, if you’re going to bounce back, might as well do it against one of the NHL’s best teams.

The Toronto Maple Leafs battle the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight in a battle of two of the Eastern Conference’s top teams. However, both teams could use some improvement.

Both teams are 4-5-1 in their past ten games and have struggled to find consistency in the month of November. The Penguins have done a little better as they have managed to string three wins in a row this month, but Toronto has managed to stay in the hunt.

Here are the lineups for tonight’s game.

The Maple Leafs need to win this game to avoid losing two in a row and risk going on a losing streak. The Leafs defense definitely needs a bounce-back game as they were absolutely horrible against the Blue Jackets. A great performance from Jonathan Bernier would be great as well.

Leafs have yet to register a shot in the third period.

  • Jeffrey Langridge

Leafs defense is playing like they did in Columbus. Which is worse now, because their playing guys like Malkin and Crosby.

  • Jeffrey Langridge

They really need to change the rule where a goal can’t be reviewed for goaltender interference. Malkin clearly knocked Bernier into the net before putting the puck in the net.

Shots in the third period: 14-0

  • Jeffrey Langridge

    Leafs are getting lazy.
