Anybody see that fight last night? Yeah, pretty crazy. It’s Monday, so that means we’ll probably be hearing from NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan on the full extent of suspensions from last night’s brawl. The big question is whether or not Shanny decides to suspend Phil Kessel. We already know David Clarkson will be out for the first ten games of the regular season for leaving the player’s bench during the brawl. While we wait for Shanahan to Shana-ban, here are your links from an interesting weekend in Leafland:
I’m pretty sure he nailed down a spot two seasons ago, but sure. From David Shoalts of The Globe and Mail.
I gotta admit, those are some mean photoshop skillz Justin Fisher of The LeafsNation.
If the Leafs sign Cody Franson, they may be forced to go with a 20- or 21-man roster on opening night. That would mean players like Carter Ashton and Joe Colborne would be pushed out, and in Colborne’s case, he would have to clear waivers to be sent back down to the Marlies. From James Mirtle of The Globe and Mail.
After last night’s events, the use of the word “enemy” in this headline seems appropriate. From Caitlin Campbell of Sabre Noise.
Steve Dangle of The LeafsNation spoke with Leafs’ great Bobby Baun and the result is fantastic.
Justin Fisher of The LeafsNation has you covered if you’re a poolie.
I like the idea, but personally I think these would look waaaaaay better. From Allen Tung of The Canuck Way.
