The Toronto Marlies announced their 76 game 2013-14 regular season schedule, Thursday afternoon. The Marlies will open the season at Ricoh Coliseum on Saturday, October 5 against the Grand Rapids Griffins (Detroit Red Wings affiliate). The Marlies will play 31 of their 38 home games on weekend dates, and will close out the season with a home game against Rochester on April 19.

You can view the rest of the Marlies schedule here.

The Maple Leafs announced Thursday their 25 player roster that will participate in a Rookie Tournament hosted by the Leafs in London, Ontario at the Budweiser Gardens. Tyler Biggs, Stuart Percy, Morgan Rielly and Frederik Gauthier are among Leaf players attending the tournament.

ESPN is ranking the uniforms of teams in the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB, and today they tackled the NHL. The sports network’s Uni Watch Power Rankings have the Maple Leafs 6th among other NHL teams. The Montreal Canadiens are ranked number one, while the Los Angeles Kings are ranked dead last, which is very odd because I have the Kings’ uniforms in my top-ten.

Former Toronto Maple Leaf forward, Mikhail Grabovski has signed a one-year deal with the Washington Capitals, according to TSN’s Aaron Ward. Grabovski has been a free agent for most of the summer after the Leafs used a compliance buyout on him July 4.
