The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they signed goalie Drew MacIntyre to a one-year two way contract. MacIntyre spent this season down with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
The goaltender did an outstanding job for the baby Leafs and MacIntyre played in 21 games, sporting a 13-5-3 record. He also recorded a .931 save percentage and 1.83 goals against average. He has some NHL experience as well, spending time with the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres.
MacIntyre may best be remembered for an incredible save he made in the first round of this year’s Calder Cup playoffs against the Rochester Americans.
