The Boston Bruins were forced to stay in Toronto last night after learning there were some issues with the team’s charter plane. Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli said they were informed late during last night’s 2-1 victory by the Toronto Maple Leafs that there was a malfunction with the airplane.
This latest bit of adversity to the Bruins could be viewed as an advantage to the Leafs. Boston’s schedule will now be disrupted and their daily routine certainly thrown off. However small something like this actually means is anyone’s guess, but heading into a Game 7 I’m sure Toronto will take all the help they can get.
On the flipside, this may even turn out to be a good thing for the Bruins in the long run. They would have probably had a better night’s sleep since they didn’t have to fly home right away after the game, and likely avoided much of the media frenzy this morning. We won’t have to wait long to find out as Game 7 goes tonight at 7pm.
