Bozak Leaves Practice Early

Tyler Bozak, who has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, left practice early today after only 10 minutes. The Leaf centre came out before the rest of his team-mates and took some shots, but his appearance was brief.

Initially, Bozak was thought to be just getting rested for maintenance as Toronto prepared to start the playoffs, but now it appears the injury is more significant. Nazem Kadri had been seeing time on the top-line while Bozak was out for games against the Florida Panthers and Montreal Canadiens.

Despite the uncertainty around Bozak being ready to start the post-season, General Manager Dave Nonis feels like he will be ready to go for game one. Not having him in the lineup would be a big blow as Bozak is the Leafs’ top face-off man and takes every crucial draw for the team. And you can be sure there will be plenty of those during this series with the Boston Bruins.
