Gardiner To Check Back In Against Devils

It looks as though Jake Gardiner will return to the line-up tonight against the New Jersey Devils. The Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman has been a healthy scratch for the last three games and Paul Hendrick reported that he should draw back in.

At the morning skate today only Ben Scrivens, Mike Kostka, Ryan O’Byrne, Matt Frattin, and Ryan Hamilton were on ice, which is a good indication that they won’t play. Kostka had a rough outing against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday which opened the door for a Gardiner return.

Joe Colborne is expected to centre the fourth line this evening after being recalled late last week. There is also a strong possibility that Leo Komarov and Clarke MacArthur will return to action tonight from injuries as well.
