Here are a few links for some of the best Maple Leaf and NHL articles from around the web for the week of December 10, 2012:
“Marlies Need To Be Careful With Jake Gardiner“ from Michael Amato at Editor In Leaf.
Gardiner is the present and future of the Maple Leafs blue line and it appears as though he has a concussion. The Maple Leafs organization needs to take every precaution necessary to ensure that this isn’t a lingering issue.
“Leafs Prospect Update: December 10th, 2012“ by Justin Fisher at The Leafs Nation.
The biggest thing I took from this was the fact that Morgan Rielly is not in play as the WHL trade deadline approaches. Teams are fearful that if the NHL lockout ends Rielly will be playing with the Maple Leafs, which is diminishing his trade value.
“Maple Leafs Prospect May Have Been Kicked Off Harvard’s Hockey Team“ from Cam Charron at The Leafs Nation.
Max Everson is a 7th Round Pick from the 2011 draft and was in his second season at Harvard. It appears as though he will play with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL for the season and return to Harvard next year.
“Donald Fehr And The NHL Lockout“ from Charles P. Pierce at Grantland.
Good piece here. Definately worth a read.
“Oilers Launch Hackathon 2.0“ from the Edmonton Oilers.
The Oilers are holding a contest for all aspiring hockey analytic experts out there. Give it a shot if you are up for it.
