Here are a few links for some of the best Maple Leaf and NHL articles from around the web for the week of December 3, 2012:
“Leaf Prospect Update: December 3rd, 2012“ from Justin Fisher at The Leaf Nation.
Fisher discusses Maple Leaf prospects including Tony Cameranesi, who is enjoying a great start to his NCAA career.
“The Joe Colborne Conundrum“ from Gus Katsaros at The Leaf Nation.
Katsaros does a great job breaking down Colborne’s game. As I have said, Colborne is playing too much on the perimeter and needs to find a way to get to the net.
“Mike Kostka and Jussi Rynnas early season stand outs for Marlies Head Coach Dallas Eakin“ by Kyle Cicerella at kylethereporter.com.
Rynnas had a good start to the season before being injured and Kostka has been better than advertised with the Marlies thus far.
“Roberto Luongo Is The Best Option The Leafs Have In Goal“ by Steve Burtch at Pension Plan Puppets.
Burtch does an analysis looking at goaltending performance and aging goaltenders. Good stuff.
“John Collins, NHL COO, could be costly casualty for Bettman“ by Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo’s Puck Daddy Blog.
By that sounds of it, if the NHL loses Collins it will not be good for the league.
“How Zach Parise Signing For 13 Years Is Good For Kyle Brodziak“ by Tyler Dellow at mc79hockey.com.
Really good stuff explaining the positive trickle down effect of long term deals for super stars on depth players.
