Another team Leaf fans love to hate, the Buffalo Sabres are next on FanSided’s current 30-day trek around the league. Like they did with the Bruins, the Leafs seemed to take a big step forward in their level of competition with their division rivals, ending a streak of sheer dominance that Ryan Miller and the Sabres had enjoyed for some time. After losing the first three games of the season series, the Leafs rallied and came back with three crucial wins down the stretch that kept their playoff hopes alive. The Sabres won’t visit the Air Canada Centre until December, and the Leafs won’t travel to Buffalo until a week later. A home-n-home in January followed by another at the end of the season will wrap up the matchups between the clubs, and it should be yet another entertaining string of games.
