Huge Win Keeps Leafs’ Playoff Hopes Alive

I was out of town this weekend, and have a crazy work schedule this week, but I couldn’t sleep yet anyway. A fantastic 3rd period from James Reimer made a late 2nd period goal from Mikhail Grabovski hold up as the winner. Reimer finished with 28 saves on the night, to improve to 17-8-4 on the year. Phil Kessel had a great game, assisting on the winning goal, and generating more than a few chances of his own. Dion Phaneuf opened the scoring with a bomb from the point on a rush, while Clarke MacArthur and Darryl Boyce were the primary beneficiaries of what is probably Nazem Kadri’s best game as a Leaf to date (2 assists). It’s still a long shot, but it sure as hell felt like the playoffs tonight. Some thoughts from around Leaf Nation.
