Gameday Preview #4: Toronto at New York Rangers

It’s gonna be a shorty today, some old friends are visiting and the beer’s already flowing. I’m looking forward to tonight’s game with the Rangers, but not exactly thrilled about having to listen to the MSG announcers instead of good ole Joe Bowen.

I’m holding off on issuing another Colton Orr Brain-Bashing Early Warning because the last time I did, the big guy got his ass kicked, so he’ll need to prove himself. There’s a good chance he’ll do that tonight, though, and if he and Derek Boogaard tangle, it should be quite the show.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere will likely get the start, while Brett Lebda could suit up tonight as well. The Rangers are 1-1 on the year so far, and tonight is their home opener, so it won’t be an easy win by any means. I’m just praying the Rangers don’t hand the Leafs their first loss, just because I’ll have to hear it all goddamn night from these Ranger fans I’m hanging out with.
