New site design and a look ahead

Big shoutout to Zach and Adam Best for all their work, as Editor-in-Leaf recently underwent a site redesign (along with the rest of the FanSided network), that I’m very excited about. There’s a lot of new features that should help me continue to improve this blog, and I’m already looking forward to next season.

Something else I’m very excited about that will be coming in the very near future is the addition of an NHL main page to FanSided. Frank from the Rat Trick is heading it up, and I’m honored and very excited to say I’ll have a weekly column on there, as well as a little corner where I can share my “expertise” on fantasy hockey. There will be plenty of other stuff on there, from trade rumors to prospects to video highlights, and I can’t wait til we get it up and running.

Last week was a bit of an off week for me, as I was just getting started at a new job, and I can honestly say I was gassed all week. I’ve gotten myself settled in a pretty good routine, and since I tend to get much more work done when I’m on a routine schedule, I should be back up to full steam this week. Here’s what’s on tap for this week: Previewing the Stanley Cup Finals between Chicago and hopefully, please God please, Philadelphia; Recapping the acquisitions already made by BB this offseason; A look at the upcoming free agent market and what players would help the Leafs the most; Season grades for the Leafs’ defensemen and goalies; whatever else I happen to come up with between now and Friday.

That’s all for now – keep an eye on the site, as I get all the new features and links all set up over the next day or two. Thanks for reading and Go Leafs!
